Considerations on the Superiority of Robots for Bridge Inspection and its Performance Evaluation Method for Social Implementation

In Japan, aging of infrastructure and shortage the labor have become social problems. It is a socially demanded, to realize efficient inspections maintenance. this paper, we mention on “infra-robot evaluation project'' conducted by MLIT in 2014-2015. Then, based its results, consider superiority robot-based inspection bridges, proper procedure for practical inspection. Finally, propose performance method promote use.
